Laredo Flower Battle
The town of Laredo in Cantabria dresses its streets with flowers to celebrate its most colorful popular festival!

This beautiful festival consists of a parade of floats decorated entirely with natural flowers and petals. During the parade a jury issues a classification selecting one of them as the winner.

This festival is always celebrated on the last Friday of August and has been considered of tourist interest since 1908 and International Tourist Interest since 2011.
The party focuses on the parade that starts at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th, but as you can imagine, there is a whole festive activity around it in which there is no shortage of brass bands, street markets, artistic activities, clubs, music, fun and fireworks. .
The night before is considered the “magical night” since you can walk among the participating floats and see how the flowers are placed on them.
