End of race to Morocco

This experience is ideal for groups of up to 20 people at any time of the year. It is true that if you go in January/February you will need some warm clothing (especially for the nights and the night you spend in the desert).

Do you have everything prepared? We take off towards Fez! Once there, they will pick us up at the airport to take us to the hotel. If you have not yet decided how you were going to organize yourself in the rooms, this trip may be a good time for you to do it. Thus, when we arrive at the hotel, we will leave our suitcases and our adventure through this wonderful country will begin.

We will begin with a walking tour of Fez, one of the most authentic cities in Morocco. When walking through the streets of the Old City you will feel how you are transported to the medieval times. Our guide will explain all the secrets of this city and will take you through the medina, which is a World Heritage Site. You will be able to see with your eyes what the daily life of the Arab culture is like in the surroundings of the Mosque, the Fountain, the Oven, the Baths and the Koranic School. We will also have the opportunity to see the well-known tanneries where the skins are tanned.

Surely you would like to try typical and traditionally prepared dishes, so do not hesitate to ask the guide which are the best places (both in terms of quality and price) to do so.

When you drink water, we recommend that you always drink bottled water, not from jugs/taps or fountains.

In the evening you will see how some stalls begin to appear where you can begin to practice the art of haggling and listen to Moroccan folk music.

You will have many nights to enjoy, so It is better that today you do not leave “too early” since the next day you have 470 km to travel.. Have your cameras at hand and be very awake because you will be able to contemplate wonderful landscapes: you will go from north to south crossing the entire Middle Atlas Mountains. We will make a stop in Ifrane, residence of the country's well-off students, since that is where the American university is located. Elite athletes are also here, so if you see one standing out, ask them for an autograph! Who knows what it may be worth in the future? We will visit a Centennial Cedar where a colony of Barbary Macaques lives.

Will you be able to take a photo with them looking at the camera? We want to see it!

The last stop of the day before reaching our destination will be a viewpoint from which you can see the immense palm grove of the Ziz Valley. Impressive, right? We will end the day in Merzouga.

The next morning we will have leisure to walk among the dunes, visit nearby towns or have a great time. relax in the pool of the hotel. We hope you gain strength, because in the afternoon we will take the dromedaries to go to the oasis in the middle of the desert where we will spend the night in nomadic haimas, tents made with dromedary hair to shelter you from the night cold. When the sun goes down you will witness one of the most amazing sunsets you have ever seen. After We will have dinner to the sound of tam-tam around the bonfire. It is the moment in which you can all sit together to remember how you met, that subject that crossed your path and that you have carried over to this year and thousands of moments lived together.

At dawn, you will have the opportunity to see how the sun begins to illuminate the dunes little by little until it covers everything with its golden mantle. We will take the camels again to take us to the Tombouctou Kasbah and we can take a shower.

We will visit a village originally from Black Africa and enjoy its traditional songs while having tea, a symbol of hospitality. Next, we will go to the Rissani Market, where you will find a wide variety of artisan products.

Don't miss the donkey parking at the Rissani Market, it's very curious!

After the camel rides, the night in the desert and the morning of visits, we will take the afternoon off so that you can explore the streets for yourself and feel like one of the town.

The next morning, we will leave the dunes behind to make way for the more mountainous landscapes. We will arrive at Tinerhir, where we will tour its palm grove until we reach the famous Gorge of The Todra Gorges. We will continue to Boumalne Dades, a town located in the High Atlas Mountains and in the afternoon we will visit the Dades Valley, where, on the way down, we will be able to see what are known as “Patas del mono”.

How are you doing the trip? Are you enjoying it? We hope you continue to have strength, because you still have to experience one of the biggest parties of the trip.

We will cross the Mountain Pass, Tizi – n'Tichka, where the landscapes are amazing and you can take some of the best photos of the trip. Make a visit to Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, will you recognize which films have been filmed here? In the afternoon we will arrive at the “Red City”, the best time to visit Djemma el Fna Square, where you will be surprised by the atmosphere both day and night.
